About Me

I am an aspiring artist who has lived in the western part of Maine all my life. I have always had a special interest in art. Of course, Maine has given me much inspiration with it's wonderful landscapes, rocky coasts, quaint towns, and its alternating seasons. I aim to capture in my work moments in time that are precious and that which I believe to be beautiful. I think we are innately drawn to intensity of color, illumination, refraction and reflection of light, and to things we're not accustomed to seeing on a regular basis.

Certainly, there are instances in our lives, such as during a sunrise or a sunset, where we're especially enchanted by the vibrancy of color, the long casting of shadows, and a particular feeling in the air we can't put into words. I want to recreate these moments, capture them, and preserve them for life. Most importantly, I want to share these moments with others, conveying through my work the emotional experience I have when I look at a particular scenery, or a certain setting I'm intrigued by. I attempt to do this through a variety of mediums and techniques. Presently I am using oil as my main medium, but I don't want to be categorized as thistype of artist who always uses that type of method. I enjoy all types of art expression and therefore prefer not to limit myself. I believe it keeps it truly interesting when you can feel free to change your techn ique and try something differe nt, perhaps even challenging; it becomes something new to conquer.

I want to thank you for taking the time out of your day to visit my website. And I hope you will take pleasure in all I have to share with you.
